The Afghan caretaker government's security forces have commissioned a total of 630 soldiers, according to the country's Ministry of Defense.

"In a special ceremony, 50 soldiers graduated on Monday from the 7th Brigade Training Center of the 217th Omari Corps after two months of military and intellectual training in northern Kunduz province," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the source, 580 recent graduates obtained accreditation from the same training school in the province, which is 250 kilometres north of Kabul.

According to the announcement, the newly graduated soldiers will be stationed in northern regions to safeguard the security of the people and protect the country's borders.

The Taliban-led caretaker administration's army chief, Qari Fasihuddin, has stated that the administration is working to build a capable army to safeguard the country's security.

In addition, security authorities in Afghanistan have freed a physician held captive by abductors in the western Nimroz province, according to deputy provincial police commander Mohammad Mahajir.

Following a crackdown on the accused kidnappers' hideouts, the abducted medical practitioner was released on Monday, and three others were apprehended.

On Friday night, police in Kabul rescued a businessman from kidnappers, according to the state-run news service Bakhtar.
