Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russian forces launched over 40 missiles on Monday, targeting several cities, including the capital, Kyiv.
The missiles struck Kyiv and the regions of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk, hitting residential buildings, infrastructure, and a children's hospital, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Zelensky reported that emergency services are working at full capacity to save as many lives as possible, confirming that individuals are trapped under the rubble of the children's hospital in Kyiv.
Russian strikes also targeted three electrical power facilities in Kyiv, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 people across Ukraine. The DTEK company stated that three substation transformers in the Holosiivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts were damaged, along with power lines.
