On Saturday, a state of outrage prevailed in Turkey, after security forces arrested 66 women in a humiliating way on Friday, according to the Turkish 'Zaman' newspaper.
Social media users circulated videos showing the humiliation arrest of those women in handcuffs, on charges of belonging to the Gülen movement, saying that this degrading way isn't supposed to be applied even in arresting ISIS terrorists.
The newspaper quoted human rights defender and representative of the Democratic Peoples Party, Umar Faruk Jirgioglu, as saying: "What does shackling those women from behind mean? It means: You have declared that they are guilty and criminals in advance and you can direct them to any offense! You do not have the right to persecute anyone, even if he or she was guilty!"
The Turkish government accuses the Turkish preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is living in the United States, and his supporters of being behind the 2016 failed coup. It has arrested many of Gulen's supporters and sent them to prison.

Ankara demands that the US administration extradite Gulen, but its attempts were unsuccessful as Washington refused to hand him over.
