The Defense for Children Organization said on Saturday that the number of Palestinian children killed in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 614, and this number is likely to rise.
The organization revealed in a report on Friday evening that the Israeli raids on Gaza resulted in the killing of 583 children, which practically represents a third of the number of Palestinian casualties since the outbreak of the war last Saturday between Hamas and Israel.
This means that the Israeli bombing claimed the lives of only about 31 children in the last hours.
The organization expected the toll to rise in light of Israel preventing Palestinians in the besieged Strip from obtaining food, water, electricity, and medical supplies.
The organization's lawyer and principal policy advisor, Brad Parker, says: "The Israeli statements were accompanied by widespread and organized attacks carried out by the Israeli army, raising fears that what is taking place is a genocide campaign against the Palestinian people."
