Culture Resumes Artistic Activity during Summer in Opera Theatre

Culture ministry is resuming its artistic activity with 40 concerts during the summer of 2020 in the opera theaters.

Omar Khairat, superstar Mohamed mounir , and El Hajjar, are expected to shine in the summer opera concerts organized by the ministry of culture.

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, approved the program of resuming the artistic activity of the Egyptian Opera House headed by Dr. Magdy Saber

The activity includes presentation of 40 various artistic concerts in the open theaters -which are scheduled to be established and ready for working during the summer season.

The activity will be under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, head of the artistic house of the opera.

The concerts will be animated by a group of super music stars in Egypt and the Arab world, including :- the great artist Mohamed Mounir, the great musician Omar Khairat, the singer Ali Al Hajjar, the artist Medhat Saleh, Cairo Symphony Orchestra, the pioneer of jazz musician Yahya Khalil, "Al Nefikhah" Ensemble , "Massar Egbary "Ensemble, Cairo Opera Ensemble, Marimba Nessma Abdel Aziz, the vocalist Wael El Fashni - Sheikh Ehab Younes, Baghdadi Big Band, Farasan Al Sharq Heritage ensemble (Raya and Sakina Show), Said Al-Artist, Nessma Mahjoub,,"

Other groups include the Voice of Egypt Orchestra "led by Maestro Ahmed Atef, the modern theater dance troupe (Tears of Iron Show), Cairo Opera Ballet Ensemble, Nuran Abu Taleb, "Downtown ", "Arab Music Bands", " Abdel Halim Nowera", Arab National Music - Heritage for Arab Music - Religious Song - Alexandria Opera for Arabic Music and Singing, "Wahhabi Series", "Wahhabis","Kalthomaths", Talent Development Center ensemble and others.

It is worthy of note that A concert will be held on the open stage at 8:00 pm on Sunday, 12 July for “Wahabbias" ensemble, which includes the masterpieces of the musician of generations, Mohamed Abdel-Wahab.

Dr. Magdy Saber, the head of the opera, said that the activities will begin with presenting :- a concert at 8.00 PM on Thursday, 9 July at the external fountain stage with a traditional animated by the stars of the Arabic music ensemble :Mai Farouk, Ahmed Effat, Sabreen Al-Nujaili, Yasser Suleiman, and the clarinet player Mohamed Fawzi, led by Dr. Mostafa Helmy and artistic supervision of the artist Jihan Morsi, head of the Central Administration for Eastern Music.

Saber added that the theater of Sayed Darwish "Alexandria Opera" will host a concert on the evening of Friday, 10 July for the Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Arabic Music and Singing led by Maestro Ehab Abdel Ghaffar; the concert will include presenting a selection of works of Arabic music: Alexandrian 3-Salamat - Zai El Hawa, performed by Yasser Saeed, and the ceremony will end with the participation of all singers in performing the song "Amar ya eskendia".

In addition ,a concert of " Wahhabi series" , will be held on the open stage at 8:00 pm on Sunday, 12 July , including a group of masterpieces of the musician Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, led by Maestro Hazem El-Kasabgy and with the participation of singers Iman Abdel-Ghani, Ayat Farouk, Ahmed Essam And Ahmed Nafi.

He confirmed the readiness of the opera to receive its guests by following the precautionary measures in order to ensure the safety of the public, artists and workers represented in the following measures:- receiving 25 % of the theater capacity, entering the public through the self-sterilization gates after measuring the temperature, the social distancing between the attendees, purifying and sterilizing the theaters before and after the performances , committing to wearing medical masks, in addition to distributing informative publications to the public as they enter the ceremony.
