Opera Announces Conditions of 28th Arab Music Festival Contest

Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, The Minister of Culture, approved on the conditions taking part in the competition accompanying the 28th Edition of Arab Music Festival and Conference organized by the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber.

Jihan Morsi, director of the festival, said that the competition carried the name of Dr. Ritaiba Al-Hefni. The singing section is for young people aged between 17 to 35 years old and the total amount of prizes is worth 55,000 L.E.

As for children's competition, participants' ages range between 6 to 14 years old and the total amount of prizes is worth 27,000 L.E.

The conditions are as the following:

-The candidate should sing one heritage song and other of his choice – this condition is not applied to the talented people of special abilities.

- The candidate should not be over 35 years old.

- The candidate should perform an optional work of musical compositions، not musical -in 10 minutes، in addition to playing free work (Taksim) for 3 minutes.

It is worthy of note that the prizes amount worth 55 .000 L.E will be given to the winners.

25 October is the deadline for receiving applications.
