The famous theater director Khaled Galal, head of the cultural production sector, is preparing to resume the "Cinema of Egypt" show after a pause of nearly a month, on the New Year's Eve, corresponding to December 31, 2019.

The show, that took place last July at the Artistic Creativity Center in Cairo Opera House, was stopped after the start of the activities of the 41st Cairo International Film Festival last November.

Moreover, the cast travelled with their leader "Galal" to Sharm El-Sheikh, where the artistic workshop for the second edition of the World Youth Forum, which lasted for two weeks.

The workshop resulted in the global show "The Trial", which was taken from a short story to try the famous figure Santa Claus for ignoring wishes of children of wars, conflicts and violence in some countries in the world.

After returning to Cairo with his band of graduates from the second batch of the Creativity Center theater workshop, Galal announced that he would prepare for the resuming of their show "Cinema of Egypt" through intensive rehearsals.

The show tells in a symbolic form about Egypt, which for years lost its artistic and cultural identity "The show depends on nearly 50 scenes that represent the most important features of Egyptian art history and cinematic memory, while we display only a number of them every day; we replace the scenes every period of the show, so the spectator returns many times to see the new scenes in the same general framework of the story," Galal told SEE News.

He added that "The goal of the show is to present the young talents of graduates of the new batch to the creativity center and to provide the opportunity to present them to the public in a variety of frameworks between comedian, tragic and historical,.”

“I consider it a new challenge to revive those scenes that the entire Arab world preserves and present them theatrically."

It is worthy mentioning that the show starts daily at 7 pm, free of charge to the public, with tickets being distributed half an hour before the show begins.
