Omar Khairat to Play “Al-Mamar” Soundtracks at COH

Veteran Egyptian musician Omar Khairat added “Al-Mamar” movie soundtracks to the program list of his concerts scheduled to be held during July at Cairo Opera House (COH).

Khairat understands Arab emotions and music which helps him attract a large audience spanning the Arab region. He has regularly performed at Cairo Opera House and in various Egyptian and Arab ceremonies during the last fifteen years.

In addition, The Egyptian Icon also composed many successful music pieces such as: “Dameer Abla Hikmat” (Abla Hikmat’s Conscience), “Wagh el-Kamar” (The Moon's Face) and “Leilet el-Kabd ala Fatma” (The Night Fatma was Arrested), and others.

“Al-Mamar” hit cinemas in Eid al-Fitr. The highly-anticipated film achieved a great success.

The film revolves around the struggles the Egyptian armed forces faced during the war of attrition which took place between the years of 1967 and 1970. It is written and directed by Sherif Arafa.

The film stars Ahmed Ezz, Ahmed Rizk, Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Falawkas, Mohamed Farrag, Ahmed Salah Hosni, Mohamed al-Sharnoubi, Mohamed Gomaa, Mahmoud Hafez, Amir Salah Eddin, and Asmaa Aboul Yazid.
