Omani Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Dhi Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, said the Grand Egyptian Museum stands as a source of pride for all Arabs and a platform for cultural cooperation across the Arab world. Speaking on behalf of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq during the museum’s grand opening, he praised Egypt’s achievement as “a monumental cultural milestone that reflects both national pride and Arab unity.”
He emphasized that the museum embodies Egypt’s vision of preserving its rich heritage through a modern, forward-looking approach, positioning it among leading nations balancing authenticity and innovation.
Al Said added that the museum will foster Arab collaboration in heritage preservation, archaeology, and museum management, building bridges of understanding and knowledge exchange among Arab cultural institutions. He congratulated Egypt’s leadership and people, describing the occasion as “a historic moment that adds to Egypt’s enduring legacy of cultural and civilizational excellence.”
