Oman’s ambassador to Egypt said his country firmly rejects any foreign interference that undermines Arab states or threatens regional security, stressing that respect for sovereignty is a cornerstone of Omani foreign policy, in exclusive remarks to SEE.
Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, Oman’s ambassador in Cairo and its permanent representative to the Arab League, said external interventions have directly contributed to instability in several Arab countries, including Yemen, Sudan and Somalia. He warned that attempts to divide Arab ranks have deepened conflicts and prolonged crises.
Al-Rahbi emphasized that peoples alone have the legitimate right to determine their political future, adding that imposing agendas from outside only fuels violence and weakens state institutions.
He said Oman consistently calls for restraint, dialogue and wisdom, urging all parties to adhere to international humanitarian law. Continued wars and conflicts, he warned, lead only to further destruction and weaken the Arab world at a time when it faces unprecedented challenges.
