Oman warned that the Middle East is approaching a “dangerous turning point” due to escalating military operations and the growing reliance on force over dialogue, during an emergency ministerial meeting of the League of Arab States.
Speaking at the virtual session, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said the ongoing war involving Israel, the United States and Iran could have serious political, economic and security repercussions across the region.
Albusaidi described the conflict as illegal and warned that it threatens regional stability and the safety of its people.
He called for intensified diplomatic and political efforts to address the root causes of the conflict and reach a peaceful solution that preserves regional security and spares populations from the devastating consequences of war.
The emergency meeting reviewed the latest regional developments and coordinated Arab positions on the escalating crisis.
