Oman expressed deep regret over military operations carried out by Israel and the United States against Iran, warning that continued fighting risks a dangerous escalation across the region.
In a statement, Oman’s Foreign Ministry said the actions contravene international law and the principle of resolving disputes through peaceful means rather than violence and bloodshed. It called on all parties to immediately halt military operations.
The sultanate urged the United Nations Security Council to convene an emergency meeting to enforce a ceasefire and for the international community to take a clear stand in support of international law.
Oman reaffirmed that states have the right to self-defense under international law, while simultaneously urging restraint and a renewed commitment to diplomatic solutions.
