Olympic Gymnast Malak Hamza Motivates Athletes on 20th Birthday

Scorpio-born Olympic gymnast Malak Hamza celebrated her 20th birthday with her coach, young trampoline players, friends and relatives who wished her happiness and success in the upcoming Olympic Games.

Hamza shared her 20th birthday moments with Sada el-Balad English (see), saying that she is currently studying at Nile University, and doing her best to fulfil her dream and work with her business degree after graduation.

The Egyptian trampoline gymnast, who competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics, explained that she trains at Gezira Sporting Club adding that she is trying to improve her skills to reach her highest level of performance because she is out of season right now. She confirmed that she does strenuous exercises in order to reach a high physical fitness to win more championships.

Hamza was hoping to reach the world championship in gymnastics, but she is currently searching for a big sponsor to support her sports career. The champion indicated that she participated in the African championship, which was only held in Cairo, and hopes to participate outside Egypt.

She took up the sport at age 14, and trains five days a week, for up to three hours each session.

Journalist Ahmed Adel stated that Malak Hamza won a gold medal at the 2021 African Championships in Cairo, and competed at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
