The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the agreement on the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran to end military operations and restore security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to their previous levels.
The General Secretariat commended the roles played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the State of Qatar, alongside other countries that helped bridge differences and create the conditions for reaching this understanding.
The General Secretariat expressed its hope that the agreement would be fully implemented and that the parties concerned would participate earnestly in the forthcoming rounds of negotiations to address all issues and maintain security and stability in the region.
