The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the signing of a unified budget for the State of Libya, the first Libyan national budget in over a decade, representing a positive step towards economic and developmental stability for the country as a whole and for the benefit of the Libyan people.
In line with the principles of the OIC Charter and the resolutions of the Islamic Summit and the Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the General Secretariat reaffirmed the Organisation’s support for all initiatives and efforts that contribute to strengthening security and stability in Libya, preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Libyan people for development and prosperity.
