The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) announced Sunday it will convene an emergency ministerial meeting this week to address recent "illegal" decisions by Israeli occupation authorities regarding the occupied West Bank.
The meeting, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, will bring together foreign ministers from the executive committee. Discussions will focus on countering Israeli moves aimed at promoting settlement expansion, annexation, and the imposition of sovereignty over Palestinian lands.
The OIC highlighted a specific decision by Israel to register occupied West Bank lands as "state property." The organization characterized these actions as illegal schemes designed to alter the legal, political, and demographic status of Palestinian territories while undermining the prospects for a two-state solution.
The summit aims to coordinate a unified stance among member states to confront these measures.
