The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the heinous massacre by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians after bombing a camp crowded with thousands of displaced people in the city of Rafah, killing about forty citizens and injuring dozens of others, mostly women and children.
The OIC considered this act a war crime, a crime against humanity, and state-organized terrorism, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable and responsible in accordance with international criminal law.
The Secretary-General held the Israeli occupation accountable for the consequences of its crimes, terrorist practices, and brutal attacks against the Palestinian people, which are inconsistent with all human values and constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The OIC renewed its call on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities in compelling Israel, to implement the orders of the International Court of Justice to stop aggression immediately.
It also called for Israeli to open the Rafah crossing, allow access, by land, sea and air, to humanitarian aid, into the Gaza Strip, and end this brutal Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which has continued since the seventh of last October, leading to the martyrdom of about 36,000 Palestinian citizens, and the injury of about 81,000 others, and ensure international protection for the Palestinian people.
