The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the International Conference on “The Family and Public Policy”, hosted by the city of Rabat (9–10 June 2026) and organised by ICESCO and the United Nations Population Fund.
During the conference, the Organisation’s Secretary-General, Hissein Brahim Taha, affirmed that the family is the cornerstone of society, stressing the need to redouble efforts to protect the institution of marriage and meet the needs of young people in the face of rapid social change.
The conference drew broad participation from policymakers and experts, who discussed effective strategies for promoting family values and addressing the economic and social challenges facing families today.
