Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Dr. Tarig Ali Bakheet met with Pakistan’s Minister of Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khishi, on the sidelines of the First International Forum on Islamic Civilisation in Tashkent to discuss expanding cultural cooperation.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the OIC General Secretariat and Pakistan’s Ministry of Culture, including plans to launch new bilateral cultural initiatives.
The two officials also explored ways to enhance the participation of Pakistani cultural institutions in programs and activities organized by the OIC and its specialized bodies.
The talks took place during the forum, held in Uzbekistan from July 7 to 11, as participants examined opportunities to promote Islamic civilization, cultural dialogue, and cooperation among OIC member states through joint initiatives and institutional partnerships.
