The OIC Media Observatory said Wednesday that Israeli violations continued across Gaza and the West Bank amid worsening humanitarian conditions as winter storms flooded tents sheltering displaced families between November 11 and 17.
According to the Observatory, 309 Palestinians were killed and 43 injured across Palestinian areas last week. In Gaza, six people were killed by Israeli strikes, while Civil Defense teams recovered 19 bodies from rubble. The Health Ministry reported 279 deaths and 13 injuries during the same period, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, to 70,566, with 179,842 injured.
In the West Bank, Israeli forces carried out 295 incursions, killing five people — including four children — and injuring 30. The week also saw attacks on four mosques and repeated assaults on Al-Malih School in Tubas, alongside home demolitions, land bulldozing, and uprooting of olive trees.
The Economist warned that Gaza may now hold one of the world’s highest concentrations of unexploded ordnance.
