The Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes, affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has released its 133rd report, focusing on the impact of land leveling, burning, and burial operations on Palestinian agriculture in the occupied Palestinian territories.
According to the report, agricultural land has increasingly come under pressure as a result of activities that have damaged farmland, uprooted trees, and reduced the ability of Palestinian farmers to cultivate and access their land. The observatory said such practices have affected agricultural production and threatened the livelihoods of thousands of Palestinian families who depend on farming as a primary source of income.
The report examined what it described as systematic measures targeting the agricultural sector, including the destruction of cultivated areas, restrictions on land access, and damage to infrastructure supporting agricultural activities. It warned that continued losses in the sector could have serious consequences for food security and rural economic development.
The observatory noted that agriculture remains a vital component of Palestinian economic and social life, emphasizing that the loss of productive land undermines community resilience and sustainable development efforts.
The report also called on the international community and relevant organizations to increase efforts aimed at protecting Palestinian agricultural resources and ensuring respect for international legal standards related to civilian property and livelihoods in occupied territories.
The OIC observatory regularly monitors developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and publishes reports documenting political, humanitarian, economic, and social impacts affecting the Palestinian population.
