OIC International Youth Forum kicks off in Samarkand

Under the patronage of H.E. Mirziyoyev Shavkat, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the OIC International Youth Forum in Samarkand begins its work ‏Concerned authorities in Uzbekistan, as well as the representatives of OIC relevant Organs and Institutions and Youth delegates from OIC Member States, attended this event.

in his speech at the Opening Ceremony on behalf of HE the OIC Secretary-General، Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakhiet, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural, and Social Affairs indicated that hosting this Forum is a clear testament to Uzbekistan’s active role in supporting OIC’s activities and programs، and its commitment to Youth empowerment.

He indicated that the forum will provide an excellent platform for interaction and collaboration between the youth from different OIC countries with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and it will certainly contribute to achieving the objectives of the OIC Youth Strategy.

He stressed that OIC, through its 2025 Program of Action, the Resolutions adopted by the Summit and CFM, and the Islamic Conference on Youth and Sports, attaches great importance to youth empowerment and youth capacity building. On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakhiet met with Ministers and Heads of Delegations participating in this important event.
