The 54th session of the Permanent Financial Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) opened on Tuesday at the organization’s headquarters, marking the second preparatory meeting ahead of the Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled for April 11–12 in Baghdad.
Delegates are reviewing key financial and administrative matters, including proposed decisions related to the organization’s financial affairs. The session will also examine and approve the draft budget of the OIC General Secretariat and its subsidiary bodies for the upcoming fiscal year.
The committee’s deliberations are expected to provide a financial framework for the forthcoming ministerial meeting, ensuring the continuity of the organization’s programs and activities.
The outcomes of the session will be submitted to the Council of Foreign Ministers for consideration during its 54th annual meeting in the Iraqi capital.
