The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, has strongly condemned Saturday’s horrific terrorist attacks attributed to Boko Haram in Northeastern Nigeria, which resulted in a large number of dead and wounded.
The Secretary-General described these attacks as criminal and repulsive acts. He reiterated the OIC’s support for the leadership and people of Nigeria in their determination to fight terrorism in Nigeria.
H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the Government and people of Nigeria and wished for speedy recovery for the wounded.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the OIC’s principled position that vigorously condemns all acts of terrorism and violent extremism.
