The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned what it described as an ongoing Israeli aggression against the Syrian Arab Republic, denouncing recent strikes targeting military infrastructure in the country’s south.
In a statement issued today, the organization said the attack constituted a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and warned that continued actions by Israeli forces risk undermining regional security and stability.
The General Secretariat held Israel fully responsible for the continuation of such attacks and reiterated the OIC’s solidarity with Syria, emphasizing support for its sovereignty, unity, and security.
The organization also called on the international community to take immediate steps to implement relevant international laws and resolutions to ensure respect for Syria’s territorial integrity and to help maintain peace and stability in the region.
