The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, condemned in the strongest terms the brutal attack carried out against the Islamic Center of San Diego, California, United States of America, which resulted in the killing of innocent worshippers.
The Secretary-General stressed that this heinous hate crime is a further warning of the grave dangers of Islamophobia and rising hatred against Muslims, fuelled in part by the spread of extremist and anti-Muslim content on social media platforms, content that continues to radicalise youth and incite violence.
The OIC Secretary-General conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the Muslim community of San Diego, expressing his wish that Allah the Almighty shower the souls of the deceased with His mercy.
