The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Media Observatory for Israel’s Crimes against the Palestinians recorded, during the period May 21 - 28, 2024, one of the highest numbers of crimes and violations throughout the periods it has monitored over the past months.
The total number of Israeli crimes of various types reached 2693 ranging from murder to erecting checkpoints and closing roads.
The Observatory highlighted the Rafah camp massacre on 25 May 2024, as the most prominent and heinous of these crimes where more than 45 people were murdered, in addition to dozens of wounded, as a result of the Israeli bombing of a camp for the displaced people northwest of Rafah.
During the same period, the number of massacres in Gaza reached 40.
Earlier, Israel bombed more than ten displacement centers affiliated with the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) which were designated by Israel as safe havens for displaced Palestinians.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces forced residents of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip to evacuate under bombardment and direct targeting of the hospital and the vicinity of Beit Lahia, exacerbating the deterioration of the health situation in the Gaza Strip.
The OIC Observatory noted the murder of 489 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and 12 others in the West Bank. The total number of people killed reached 501 over the course of only a week. The Observatory also recorded 1,413 wounded in various Palestinian cities, bringing the number of Palestinians murdered since October 7 to 36,569.
In the occupied al-Quds, groups of Israeli settlers, led by the extremist Israeli Minister of Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, and under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and conducted provocative tours there.
