The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has called for an end to the Israeli occupation and an immediate halt to settlement expansion in the Palestinian territories, warning that ongoing policies undermine Palestinian rights and threaten regional stability.
The OHCHR said continued settlement activity and rising settler violence are contributing to a worsening humanitarian and human rights situation in the occupied territories, urging immediate action to protect Palestinian civilians.
Moreover, the OHCHR office in the Palestinian territories reported that 42 Palestinian families have been displaced by settler violence in several areas of the occupied West Bank.
According to the office, the families were forced to leave their homes in the Jordan Valley and in the communities of Ein Siniya, Al-Khalayel and Ramon following repeated attacks and intimidation by settlers.
