Oh God… On Laylat al-Qadr

Oh God, it is Laylat al-Qadr…

The night in which you answer prayers and grant us tranquility and hope, reminding us that the door of mercy is open and that tomorrow may be more beautiful than we expect.

Oh God…

Days have taught us that life never remains as it is, as after exhaustion comes rest, after anxiety comes reassurance, and after patience comes relief.

We are living in a time full of events, but we also live in a country that you have preserved with your care.

Oh God, praise be to You for the blessing of safety,

Praise be to You for the blessing of stability, and praise be to You that Egypt is safe and stable despite what is happening in the world.

Oh God, protect Egypt as You have protected it through the years, and make it always a land of safety, a land of goodness, and a land of mercy for its people and everyone who lives in it.

Oh God, grant success to our President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, help him in the responsibility he carries, inspire him with wisdom in every decision, specially on these difficult days that require a calm mind, a strong heart, arnd a vision that sees what others do not.

Oh God… We do not fear the future, because we believe that tomorrow is in Your hands, and we believe that what you preserve is never lost.

Oh God, make the coming days better than those passed, Grant a blessing in every step, Success in every deed, and comfort in every home.

Oh God, bless people's livelihoods, grant abundance in the little they have, reward in their toil, and a near relief in their patience.

Oh God, on Laylat al-Qadr, grant us a tranquility that never fades, a protection for our homes, and a contentment for our hearts.

Oh God, on this night put peace in my heart, Serenity in my soul, Blessing in my life, and light on my path.

Oh God, protect me, my family, my children, and those I love, Grant us the continued blessing of gathering for good, And let sorrow find no way into our homes.

Oh God… We are in a night which You described as being better than a thousand months, So grant us therein abundant goodness, grant our country a reassuring future, and make our coming days full of light, calmness, and peace.

Oh God, protect Egypt, Protect its people, and sustain the blessing of safety and stability upon it, make it always a land of goodness as it was… And as it shall remain, by Your will.

This was my prayer on Laylat al-Qadr.
