Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said on Monday that the epidemiological situation of Coronavirus in Egypt is stable.

In televised remarks, Tag El-Din added that the symptoms have become very simple, and 99% of cases are treated at home.

Few days ago, the Ministry of Health and Population called on citizens to obtain the Coronavirus vaccine and booster shots to protect and reduce the risk of infection with the virus.

Moreover, the ministry directed citizens to wear face masks during the winter season in public transportation and workplaces, in order to avoid infection with the Coronavirus.

It also revealed a package of procedures for home isolation for positive cases of the Coronavirus without symptoms.

The ministry said: “The home isolation of positive cases of the Coronavirus will be asymptomatic for a period of 5 days from the date of the positive test for Covid 19, and when the isolation ends, the person will continue to wear the mask for an additional 5 days .”

Furthermore, it added that if symptoms appear during the isolation period, the case is treated according to the prescribed isolation periods and clinical classification.
