Head of the Egyptian community in Ukraine Ali Farouk said that more than 70% of the Egyptian nationals have been evacuated from Kyiv so far.
This came within the framework of the continuous cooperation with the Egyptian Ministries of Immigration and Foreign Affairs.
On Friday, two planes took off to Poland to return the Egyptian students who crossed the Ukrainian border to the neighboring European countries.
The official spokesman for the Cabinet Nader Saad said that "today evening, two Air Cairo planes took off, heading to Poland, to bring back to the homeland the Egyptian students who crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border."
This comes after last Tuesday evening, an evacuation plane sent by the Egyptian authorities to transport Egyptian citizens who crossed the Ukrainian border to Romania arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The Egyptian embassy in Bucharest published a notice on its Facebook page calling on Egyptian citizens who crossed the Ukrainian border into Romania to go to the embassy headquarters in preparation for their transfer to Egypt.
