Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived at Cairo International Airport a short while ago, on an official visit to Egypt, for first in more than 11 years, at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The two presidents are scheduled to hold a press conference following their official talks, at the Ittihadiya Palace.
The visit comes after diplomatic and political efforts at the highest level between the two countries over the past years.
There is a rapprochement between Presidents Sisi and Erdogan to confront common challenges.
