Abdel Hamid Abu Mousa, head of the Egyptian-Saudi Business Council, said that Saudi Arabia is Egypt's largest trading partner and Arab investor.
In televised remarks, both Egypt and Saudi Arabia constitute 34% of the region’s population, and the national income of both represents 39% of the combined gross domestic product of the region's countries.
Moreover, Abu Mousa revealed that Saudi investments in Egypt amount to $ 54 billion, distributed to over 5,300 projects.
He also revealed that a number of important agreements will be signed between both countries, during Saudi Crown Prince's current visit to Egypt, with investments covering all fields in electricity, transportation, industry, and agriculture, as Egypt represents to Saudi Arabia a very huge market of more than 100 million people.
It is worth mentioning that, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received, on Monday evening, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz at Cairo International Airport.
During his visit, the Crown Prince will hold talks with Sisi on bilateral relations and ways of boosting them in the different fields, according to Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi.
The spokesman added that they will discuss regional and international political issues of mutual interest, as part of the deep-rooted, historical, and strategic partnership between Cairo and Riyadh.
