Egypt will receive a new batch of Russian trains next week, according to an official source at the Egyptian Railways Authority.
In press remarks to the "Akhbar Al-Youm" newspaper, the source confirmed, "the authority's readiness to receive the new batch of Russian trains, which comes within the framework of the largest railway deal signed between Egypt, Russia"
He pointed out that the next batch will be shipped from Russia by sea to the port of Alexandria, and it will be officially received next week.
Moreover, the source added that the batch consists of "normal vehicles with dynamic ventilation."
It is worth mentioning that, the deal, signed between the Egyptian Railways Authority and Russian-Hungarian company Transmashholding, is the largest in the history of Egypt’s railways, with a value of €1.16 billion ($1.8 billion).
