Official: Egypt Sees Significant Decline in COVID-19 Cases, Deaths

Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said on Wednesday that Egypt sees a significant decline in Coronavirus cases and deaths. 

In press remarks, he added that the epidemiological situation in Egypt is reassuring, affirming that the country is dealing with this issue professionally.

Moreover, Tag El-Din noted that Egypt managed to provide all types of internationally approved coronavirus vaccines.

On Tuesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 822 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 370,819.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,155 nationwide after the ministry announced 51 deaths.

About 903 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully recovered cases to 308,829.
