The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather will prevail in most of the country during Sunday's daylight hours.

Extremely hot weather is also expected to prevail in the South Upper Egypt and South Sinai.

The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads in Cairo, the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.

Wind will occur occasionally across the country.

There is a chance of light rainfall hitting intermittently in the Northwest Coast and the north of Lower Egypt.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height varying between northeast and northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Maritime activities in Suez Gulf could be disturbed due to the high waves as they will range between 2 and 3 meters.

Fall-like weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 31°C in Cairo, 28°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 34°C in Sohag, 38°C in Qena, and 38°C in Aswan.
