The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented 71 attacks by settlers in the occupied West Bank between October 7 and 13, half of which were linked to the olive harvest season.
OCHA explained, according to what the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported on Tuesday, that settlers attacked Palestinians in 27 villages in the West Bank, resulting in injuries and property damage. The attacks included assaults on farmers, theft of crops or equipment, or the vandalism of olive trees.
During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by settlers and the Israeli occupation army. Farmers constantly face attacks and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, leading to significant material losses and exacerbating their daily suffering under the occupation.
