The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Syrian armed groups supported by Iran fired missiles at the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights after Israeli artillery shelling targeted sites around the city of Nawa in the Daraa countryside in southern Syria.
The Observatory did not give more information on
human casualties resulted from clashes.
The Israeli army announced on Sunday that its warplanes intercepted a hostile air target coming from Syria towards Israel after the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” factions said they had attacked a military target in the Golan.
Last Friday, the Israeli army announced that two missiles were fired from Syria toward Israel and that its forces responded to the sources of fire.
But the Syrian Observatory reported at the time that groups loyal to the Lebanese Hezbollah fired two missiles from Syrian territory towards the Golan, according to the Arab World News Agency.
