The Obamas tied the knot on October 3, 1992, and share two daughters: Malia, 22, and Sasha, 19.
In November 2020, Obama admitted to PEOPLE while looking back at his presidency and new memoir, "A Promised Land", that they faced marital struggles during his eight years as president.
But the couple, who celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary in October, eventually managed to revive their unconditional love once their dutiful job in Washington D.C. was done.
Obama noted that Michelle became more relaxed and more joyful since we left office, adding: "That allowed us to just enjoy the deep love that comes with a marriage this long."
