The report on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen developments for the second and third quarters of 2022 revealed that, despite the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis that began in late February 2022, and the subsequent sanctions taken by many European countries and the United States against Russia, Russia's exports of liquefied natural gas were not affected, but rather grew.

Large, as its exports during the second quarter of 2022 amounted to about 8.1 million tons, compared to 7.9 million tons during the same quarter of 2021, with an annual growth rate of 2.5%.

The report issued by the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) indicated that the volume of Russian liquefied gas exports during the third quarter of 2022 amounted to about 7.2 million tons, compared to 5.7 million tons in the same quarter of 2021, with an annual growth rate of 26%.

The report added that Russia exported about 23.8 million tons during the first nine months of 2022, and is heading to achieve a new record by the end of 2022.
