National Youth Forum (NYF) represents a bright vision of the future. Since his assumption of office, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has realized that youth are the key pillar of the Egyptian state and its path towards development and progress. Hence, he is always keen to support them in all possible ways and forms.

The president launched an extensive dialogue with Egypt’s youth in 2016 (The Year of Youth) in order to be more familiar with their dreams and problems, through effective and successful national conferences.

Moreover, he also directed the government to set up small and micro projects and to develop youth centers, as well as launching initiatives like the small and medium Enterprises (SMEs) finance, your idea is your company  and other initiatives within the framework of El Sisi’s interest in young people.

In addition to the initiatives launched by the Egyptian government to improve the university and technical education level, and to rehabilitate young people seeking job opportunities, thus enabling them to participate positively in achieving the goals of the sustainable development.

At the political level, the state encourages youth to engage in the political scene.

Egypt … A Youthful Country

The Egyptians are one of the most dynamic and effective peoples in the whole world as youth and children represent the majority of its population.

According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the age group of 60-64 years represents the lowest percentage of the total population of Egypt, followed by the age group from 55 to 59 years.

The Idea of National Youth Forum (NYF)

The National Youth Forum is held periodically under the auspices of Egyptian head of state.

The idea of the forum came in response to El Sisi's call for convening a national conference for youth, which was launched during the celebration of the Egyptian youth day on January 9, 2016.

The conference constitutes a platform established primarily to provide the promising Egyptian youth with the opportunity to hold a direct dialogue with the Egyptian state and its different institutions with the aim of shaping a better future through a national vision, scientific planning, and constructive dialogue.

All Egyptian youth are represented in the conference either from universities, media, political parties in addition to athletes and intellectuals and those who registered through the official website of the forum.

The state held 6 youth conferences for young Egyptians in different provinces of Sharm Al-Sheikh, Aswan, Ismailia, Alexandria, Cairo and Giza. Those conferences helped to open channels of direct communication with the utmost transparency and extend bridges of dialogue among all segments of Egyptian society and the political leadership.
