The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts moderate weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, and North Upper Egypt, during daylight hours on Sunday, New Year's Eve.
Moderately hot weather is also predicted to hit the South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.
The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads to Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.
There is also a chance of light rainfall prevailing in the northern coats, and the northern parts of Lower Egypt, and rain could reach some parts of Lower Egypt's south.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters with northeast surface winds.
Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters varying between northeast and northwest surface winds.
Moreover, most parts of the country will experience cold weather at nighttime.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 21°C in Cairo, 20°C in Alexandria, 20°C in Matruh, 23°C in Sohag, 24°C in Qena, and 26°C in Aswan.
