Thousands of people challenged the rainy weather and gathered in New York's world-famed Time Square to have a lifetime experience and celebrate the beginning of the new year and watch the ball drop.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams kicked off the show and pushed the Waterford Crystal button to start the 60-second New Year's ball.

Shortly, the crowds danced and cheered while singing several classic songs such as Frank Sintra New York and Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World.

The ball with more than 16 million colors impressively enlighten the darkened sky and sparked the audience's amusement. They danced, sang, swung, and celebrated below it.

Towards midnight, confetti filled the sky, bright scenes conquered the screens, and neon lights also danced in the dark. People sang 'Imagine' by John Lennon, along with Chelsea Cutler who headlined the show.

The event lineup featured live performances by Chelsea Cutler, JVKE, Jax, Ava Max, J-Hope, Osmani Garcia, New Edition, Sech, and Duran Duran.
