Poland’s Border Guard said on Tuesday that the country received 9,361,000 refugees from Ukraine since Russia’s invasion on February 24.
On Monday, “Radio Poland” mentioned that the country received Sunday 23,300 refugees from Ukraine, while 22,800 refugees returned to Ukraine.
It is worth mentioning that, Poland is preparing to receive a new wave of Ukrainian refugees as winter approaches and has prepared "more than 100,000" places in reception centers, Polish Minister of Social Integration Agnieszka Ścigaj said.
In press remarks, Ścigaj said there is still no indication of an increase in the number of refugees crossing the southern border from Ukraine, which is more than 500 kilometers long.
She said that only 5 to 6 percent of the 20,000 people crossing into Poland at the border were refugees, the rest being regular transit.
