CAIRO, SEPT 7 (SEE)- The National Organization For Urban Harmony (NOUH) headed by Mohammed Abu Saada filed on Friday 308 reports for infringing upon heritage buildings' features.
The violation represented attempts to change the features of the distinctive architectural facades and seize their side corridors and gardens, as well as placing banners on the roofs.
For its part, the Cairo governorate halts the placement of advertisements permanently and ordered the removal of existing ones, especially those that have been restored in the DownTown Cairo.
The Organization aims at eliminating visual distortion and restoring architecture harmony by placing licensed advertisements only at the entrance of the buildings.
