North Korea Leader Kim Jong Un described the US as "the biggest enemy", stressing that Washington must abandon its hostile policies to improve relations with his country.

Addressing Congress of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea in Pyongyang, Kim considered that the US policy towards his country will not change regardless of who occupies the White House, according to state news agency KCNA.

“No matter who is in power in the U.S., the true nature of the U.S. and its fundamental policies towards North Korea never change,” Kim said.

Kim's recent comments came at a time when the U.S. is witnessing intense internal tensions to transfer power from the outgoing President, Republican Donald Trump, to the President-elect, Joe Biden.
