Kim Jong Un, the respected Comrade general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received Friday Sergei Shoigu, secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, on a visit to the DPRK.
Kim expressed to Shoigu the joy of meeting him again after the lapse of one year and held a talk in a friendly and trustworthy, warm atmosphere.
Shoigu, previously Russia's defence minister until May, now secretary of the Security Council, courteously conveyed the friendly greetings sent by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, to the respected Comrade.
Kim expressed his thanks and conveyed his warm greetings to Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation.
At the talk, there was a wide exchange of views on the issues of steadily deepening the strategic dialogue between the two countries and strengthening cooperation to defend the mutual security interests and on the regional and international situation.
The talk reached a satisfactory consensus on the presented issues
Appreciating the dynamic development of the bilateral relations in all fields including politics, economy and culture according to the agreement reached at the DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit held last June, Kim Jong Un affirmed that the DPRK government would further expand cooperation and collaboration with the Russian Federation in the spirit of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the future, too.
That evening, Kim received again Shoigu and continued the constructive talk.
While seeing the Russian official off, he exchanged warm farewells with him and asked him to convey his greetings, wishing Putin good health and success in his work.
Kim wished the Russian people victory, prosperity, happiness and peace.
