The Embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden in Cairo successfully hosted Nordic Tech Hub 2025 on November 25 at Rawabet Art Space in Downtown Cairo. The initiative highlighted Nordic innovation and its relevance to Egypt’s sustainability journey, bringing together Egyptian students, entrepreneurs, and innovators with leading Nordic companies to explore practical solutions for the green transition.

The program featured four pioneering Nordic companies, each presenting groundbreaking technologies:

• MANND (Denmark) – demonstrated how augmented reality can reshape fashion and reduce waste.

• Block Solutions (Finland) – showcased modular, ecofriendly building materials designed for sustainable urban growth.

• Flocean (Norway) – presented advanced desalination technology offering clean water solutions for regions facing scarcity.

• Tetra Pak (Sweden) – highlighted innovations in sustainable food packaging that reduce waste and protect resources.

The evening included interactive hubs, opening remarks from the ambassadors, and lively discussions connecting Nordic innovation to Egypt’s sustainability challenges. Guests explored how packaging, fashion, construction, and water technologies can contribute to greener communities and longterm resilience.

The event underscored the Nordic region’s dedication to supporting Egypt’s green transition and highlighted opportunities for cooperation in technology, sustainability, and cultural exchange. By linking Nordic expertise with Egypt’s ambitions, the initiative demonstrated how international collaboration can drive innovation and build a more sustainable future.

To mark the launch of the project, a private reception was held on November 24 at the Embassy of Sweden in Cairo. The reception featured a panel discussion with representatives from all four companies, who shared insights into their innovations and discussed opportunities for collaboration with Egyptian partners. This dialogue set the stage for the public showcase at Rawabet Art Space, reinforcing the Nordic commitment to fostering exchange and partnership in sustainability.

The Nordic Tech Hub 2025 was funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, with cofunding from the Embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden in Cairo. This joint effort reflects the strong regional collaboration among the Nordic countries and their shared commitment to supporting Egypt’s green transition.
