North Korean President Kim Jong Un said on Sunday that his country should be ready to launch nuclear strikes at any time to end a war.
Jong Un accused the United States and South Korea of expanding joint military exercises involving US nuclear assets, the official KCNA news agency reported.
Kim's remarks came as the isolated country conducted what the KCNA described as a nuclear tactical drill aimed at sending strong warnings to allies.
The agency said that the exercises witnessed a test of a ballistic missile that flew a distance of 800 km before hitting the target at an altitude of 800 meters under a tactical nuclear attack scenario.
