Nigerian security forces have killed 23 suspected terrorists during an armed clash in Katsina State, northern Nigeria, according to local media reports.
The military operation took place on Saturday in Bawa village, Kankara district, where troops engaged the armed group and successfully freed 26 hostages, including women and children.
Nigeria’s state news agency reported that motorcycles, vehicle parts, machine oils, farming equipment, and food supplies seized from the suspects were destroyed during the operation.
Military officials stressed that operations will continue across the country to maintain pressure on terrorist networks and criminal groups until stability and peace are restored.
